“Choose Your Foundation Wisely”

If you were building a new house, you would want to be sure it is built on a strong foundation. And if you came to the building site and discovered the foundation was cracked or somehow compromised, you would demand that the builder start over. Why is it that people who would demand a strong foundation for their house settle for almost anything but a strong foundation in their life?

Please read the following verses. Luke 6:46-49

46 “Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say? 47 I will show you what he is like who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice. 48 He is like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on a rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built. 49 But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete.”

Sure, we want to have a nice home. More importantly, is our life built on the foundation of the solid rock of Jesus Christ. Perhaps we should be more concerned with building our lives on the foundation of Jesus Christ and less time on the things of this world.

Have a tremendous day in the Lord,

Let everything that has breath (this includes you) Praise and thank the Lord.

Be Blessed,

Be a Blessing;
