In the spring, when we worked the ground, getting ready to plant crops it was a busy time.
We were busy at the butcher shop; so sometimes, we worked the fields after dark.
As I would look towards our house, the lights inside the house were on. I knew that Nancy and the boys were in the house and the light made me long to be with them.
Sometimes they would go to bed before I finished, so the light would go out.
This made me sad, thinking I had missed an evening with my family.
As I continued farming, I found that I liked it better, when the light was on.
Please read the following verses.
33 “No one lights a lamp and puts it in a place where it will be hidden, or under a bowl. Instead, he puts it on its stand, so that those who come in may see the light.
34 Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eyes are good, your whole body also is full of light. But when they are bad, your body also is full of darkness.
35 See to it, then, that the light within you is not darkness.
36 Therefore, if your whole body is full of light, and no part of it dark, it will be completely lighted, as when the light of a lamp shines on you.”
As believers, the light of Christ shines from our lives. Remember, unbelievers may be drawn to the light of Jesus Christ burning in our lives.
Let the light of Jesus shine from your life.
Be prepared to tell these people about Christ and how He has changed your life.
Shine, shine, shine for Jesus Christ.
