“The Saddest Words One Will Hear”
You can probably think of all kinds of news you would not want to hear.
You father or mother just died.
You find out one of your children or a spouse has died, Indeed, this would not be easy news to hear. But there is something worse.
You are invited to read the following verses.
23 Someone asked him, “Lord, are only a few people going to be saved?”
He said to them,
24 “Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to.
25 Once the owner of the house gets up and closes the door, you will stand outside knocking and pleading, ‘Sir, open the door for us.’
“But he will answer, ‘I don’t know you or where you come from.’
26 “Then you will say, ‘We ate and drank with you, and you taught in our streets.’
27 “But he will reply, ‘I don’t know you or where you come from. Away from me, all you evildoers!’
28 “There will be weeping there, and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but you yourselves thrown out.
29 People will come from east and west and north and south and will take their places at the feast in the kingdom of God.
30 Indeed there are those who are last who will be first, and first who will be last.”
Did you see those words? This Biblical account is talking about people that are hoping for an eternity with the Lord God in heaven. They are told by the Lord, that He does not know them.
In this account, the person is told twice to emphasize God’s truth. Then something else even worse happens, the unsaved person will spend their eternity under punishment from the Lord God in the lake fo fire.
It doesn’t need to be this way. There is no one on this earth that has or ever will live that needs to spend eternity in the Lake of fire.
Jesus Christ has paid the price for all sin. All we need do is agree to accept Jesus free gift.
We trade in our sins to be covered by His blood.
Then the Holy Spirit baptizes us and moves within to live with us, to teach us how to live
God’s marvelous plan, why not accept it today, right now.
