“Trying to Shut Down the Lord “

The Jewish religious leaders are interested in doing this. They either don’t care or don’t realize they are up against the Lord God. Christian voices cannot be silenced for long.

Please take a look at the following verses. Luke 19:32-40

32 Those who were sent ahead went and found it just as he had told them. 33 As they were untying the colt, its owners asked them, “Why are you untying the colt?” 34 They replied, “The Lord needs it.” 35 They brought it to Jesus, threw their cloaks on the colt, and put Jesus on it. 36 As he went along, people spread their cloaks on the road. 37 When he came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen: 38 “Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!” 39 Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples!” 40 “I tell you,” he replied, “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.”

So if indeed the Romans and Jewish religious leaders could silence the ever-growing crowd, the Lord God will be praised by the stones? The enemies of Jesus are caught between the proverbial rock and a hard place. They will eventually have Christ crucified. They may think that will cure their problems.

Instead, the crucifixion and resurrection embolden the disciples, while more and more people come to Christ.
Today, the Christian Church is growing in areas where it is persecuted. Perhaps we all need a little persecution to shake up our worlds.
Let us not admire the Lord Jesus from afar. May we get in the trenches with Him as we follow Him.

You all have a tremendous day in the Lord,

Let everything that has breath (this includes you) Praise and thank the Lord.

Be Blessed,

Be a Blessing;

Amen
