“What Will Heaven be Like?”

How would you like me to be able to answer that question?
I wish I could too.

I know that John and Paul both saw heaven and they didn’t have words to tell of its wonder and beauty.

One question I get asked often, is what will our earthly marriage relationships be like in heaven?
Will we still be husband and wife?
This is a difficult question to answer.

Please read the following verses for some insight.
Luke 20:27-38
27 Some of the Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to Jesus with a question.
28 “Teacher,” they said, “Moses wrote for us that if a man’s brother dies and leaves a wife but no children, the man must marry the widow and have children for his brother.
29 Now there were seven brothers. The first one married a woman and died childless.

30 The second 31 and then the third married her, and in the same way, the seven died, leaving no children.

32 Finally, the woman died too.

33 Now then, at the resurrection whose wife will she be, since the seven were married to her?”

34 Jesus replied, “The people of this age marry and are given in marriage.
35 But those who are considered worthy of taking part in that age and in the resurrection from the dead will neither marry nor be given in marriage, 36 and they can no longer die; for they are like the angels. They are God’s children since they are children of the resurrection.
37 But in the account of the bush, even Moses showed that the dead rise, for he calls the Lord ‘the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’
38 He is not the God of the dead, but of the living, for to him all are alive.”

Well, that is what Jesus says about heaven. I can’t answer the question of how we will feel about or how we will live in heaven with those we loved on earth. I can say it will be different.

Different how? Again, I don’t know but I can promise however it is, it will be better. Heaven will be more wonderful than our imaginations can conjure up. I

don’t know, you don’t know, it would seem as no one has known or will know until we reach heavens golden shores.

To have peace about this thought for today, I go to another song. Dwell on these words as you live for Him.

Only Trust Him
Alan Jackson
Come, every soul by sin oppressed
There’s mercy with the Lord
And He will surely give you rest
By trusting in His Word
Only trust Him, only trust Him
Only trust Him now
He will save you, He will save you
He will save you now
For Jesus shed His precious blood
Rich blessings to bestow
Plunge now into the crimson flood
That washes white as snow
Only trust Him, only trust Him,
Only trust Him now
He will save you, He will save you,
He will save you now
Yes, Jesus is the truth, the way
That leads you into rest
Believe in Him without delay
And you are fully blessed
Only trust Him, only trust Him
Only trust Him now
He will save you, He will save you
He will save you now
Only trust Him, only trust Him
Only trust Him now
He will save you, He will save you
He will save you now

Be Blest, Be a Blessing!
