Indeed, we are indeed not worthy of being God’s children, of being the brother of Jesus.
As read earlier in this chapel, we are included by the Lord God because Israel wandered from the Lord.
So the Lord shamed them by going to those hated Gentiles.
Yes, in the eyes of the religious Jew, we Gentiles have no right to be included in the mercies of the Lord God but wait, the Lord God reminds us that we are His because He reached out to us, not vice versa.
Please read and ponder the following verses of truth.
11 Again I ask: Did they stumble so as to fall beyond recovery? Not at all! Rather, because of their transgression, salvation has come to the Gentiles to make Israel envious.
12 But if their transgression means riches for the world, and their loss means riches for the Gentiles, how much greater riches will their fullness bring!
13 I am talking to you Gentiles. In as much as I am the apostle to the Gentiles, I make much of my ministry 14 in the hope that I may somehow arouse my own people to envy and save some of them.
15 For if their rejection is the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead? 16 If the part of the dough offered as firstfruits is holy, then the whole batch is holy; if the root is holy, so are the branches.
17 If some of the branches have been broken off, and you, though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root, 18 do not boast over those branches. If you do, consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you.
In Verse 17, the branches broken off are the Jewish people. The wild olive shoots grafted in are we Gentiles. and the root is the Lord God.
These verses in a way remind us of this truth. The Lord God brought us into His care and keeping and if He so desires He can kick us out.
Now before you get all worried about this truth, please remember. When we become believers, we are given a helpmate. The Lord God Himself lives within us as His Holy Spirit indwells us. He will lead, guide, and direct us down the very paths of the Lord God. Amen.
Have a tremendous day in the Lord.
Be Blessed, Be a Blessing;
