“Interwoven With Our Lord”
Trout fishing, opening day.
I really looked forward to that day.
A few times my cousin came and spent the night with me so we could get an early start. The creek we fished was a few hundred yards away from our house.
More than a few times, we got our lines tangled.
Then we would go back to the house and ask dad to help us out.
Dad didn’t want to waste the fishing line and he worked and worked on our one tangled mess. He finally gave up, because he really couldn’t tell which line was which.
Please read the following verses
169 May my cry come before you, O Lord;
give me understanding according to your word.
170 May my supplication come before you;
deliver me according to your promise.
171 May my lips overflow with praise,
for you teach me your decrees.
172 May my tongue sing of your word,
for all your commands are righteous.
173 May your hand be ready to help me,
for I have chosen your precepts.
174 I long for your salvation, O Lord,
and your law is my delight.
175 Let me live that I may praise you,
and may your laws sustain me.
176 I have strayed like a lost sheep.
for I have not forgotten your commands.
I like that word interwoven. It reminds me of something that is so enmeshed, that that it is impossible to separate.
Interwoven, that is the desire of my heart; to be so entangled with Christ that one can’t find this sin plagued man again.
I pray that when people see me, they see Christ. Even so, Lord Jesus, make me the man that You want me to be.
The life of the believer is interwoven with our Lord God.
