“Those Who Trust the Lord “
I imagine the title of this thought, includes many of you readers.
It can be difficult to trust the Lord because we are taught to trust ourselves.
Now I pray that in Christian homes, we are encouraged to trust the Lord. but in secular homes, children are taught to lift themselves up by their bootstraps.
Now that might sound cool, but it is impossible to do. If you must, try to do it. While you continue to try, I will go on.
Please read the following verses.
Psalms 125 A song of ascents.
1 Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion,
which cannot be shaken but endures forever.
2 As the mountains surround Jerusalem,
so the Lord surrounds his people
both now and forevermore.
3 The scepter of the wicked will not remain
over the land allotted to the righteous,
for then the righteous might use
their hands to do evil.
4 Do good, O Lord, to those who are good,
to those who are upright in heart.
5 But those who turn to crooked ways
the Lord will banish with the evildoers.
Peace be upon Israel.
Now without a doubt, this psalm was first written for the people of Israel. However, it tells truth for all who trust the Lord.
Verses four and five speak of life under the law. (being good or bad according to the law)
As believers, we know the promise of the Word of God.
And we know that in the end, when our earthly lives are over, those who trust the Lord will be rewarded with eternal life in heaven.
Hallelujah Lord God, what an awesome Lord and God you are.
Have a tremendous day in the Lord.
Be Blessed, Be a Blessing; Amen
