Two simple words, what do they mean in the context of scripture where they are found in Genesis.
I invite you to read the following verses.
24 And God said, “Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each according to its kind.” And it was so.
25 God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.
26 Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
Did you see the let us phrases?
I see let us (plural) in our (plural) image, in our (plural) image.
What do you make out of the plural words?
I believe they tell us the Trinity was at creation.
For many years I believed that God is the creator, which He is. Knowing that the Trinity is at creation and piecing other scriptures together. I believe that God the Father knew what He wanted, Jesus the Son spoke it and the Holy Spirit made it happen.
What scriptures are you talking about preacher?
Ones like these: John 1:3 Through him (Christ) all things were made; without him, nothing was made that has been made.
1 In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways,
2 but in these last days, he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe.
3 The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.
4 So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs.
