“Our Heritage Doesn’t Guarantee Our Salvation”

Many Israelites thought their salvation was assured because of their Jewish blood.
Not so fast, not that many people believe that today.

Well, can you explain to me the ones who say they and God are OK because their parents or grandparents experienced salvation?
When Jesus was born to the virgin Mary, He came to be Israel’s Messiah. He did very little with the Gentiles. When He sent out His disciples, He told them to go only to the Jews.

When a Gentile woman comes and asks for help, what does Jesus do?

Please read the following verses. Matthew 15:21-28

21 Leaving that place, Jesus withdrew to the region of Tyre and Sidon. 22 A Canaanite woman from that vicinity came to him, crying out, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is suffering terribly from demon-possession.”23 Jesus did not answer a word. So his disciples came to him and urged him, “Send her away, for she keeps crying out after us.” 24 He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.”25 The woman came and knelt before him. “Lord, help me!” she said.26 He replied, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to their dogs.”27 “Yes, Lord,” she said, “but even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters’ table.”28 Then Jesus answered, “Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour.

Did you see what Jesus said in verse 24? He was sent to be the Jewish Messiah. This Gentile woman was very enthusiastic for Jesus’ help and because of that Jesus did heal her daughter.

So if your Jewish blood and heritage will not save you, what chance do the Gentiles have? I’m glad you asked. Because Isreal rejects Jesus, the Lord God turns to the Gentiles.

Since the Jewish blood won’t save us, our Gentile blood does not doom us.

Out salvation, still comes down to this. What have we done with Jesus’ free offer, His blood for our sin? Any Jew or Gentile, anyone who has ever lived will answer that question in one way or another.

If we say anything other than yes, we are doomed to an eternity in the lake fire. If we say yes, the Holy Spirit baptizes us into the Body of Christ. Then the indwelling Holy Spirit leads, guides, and directs us. then we will spend eternity in heaven with the Lord God.

Have a tremendous day in the Lord,

Let everything that has breath (this includes you) Praise and thank the Lord.

Be Blessed,

Be a Blessing;

Amen
