“Ask, Seek, Knock “

Please read the following verses.

Matthew 7:7-12 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. 9 “Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! 12 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.

Ask- do you ask the Lord and other believers for help? Now maybe this makes you think of financial help. Well, sometimes we may need to ask the Lord and His children for financial help. But there are other things to ask about.

If you don’t understand the scripture, do you ask the Lord or His children for help? When you are down and lonely, do you walk the road of life by yourself or do you ask the Lord and His children for help?

Seek-When we lose something, especially if it is important, we look and look and look some more. Do we ask others to help us look for what is lost?

When I get help to seek for ……………it always gives me hope.
When we become lost, we use our smartphones or other sources of GPS to seek our way. There was a time when we became lost, you would stop at a house and knock on the door, asking for help on directions.

The Lord God made us as people that seek companionship. And certainly, we can find human companionship.

However, He wants us to be in tune with Him, the source of all help. The Lord God tells us to ask Him for anything. Now we don’t necessarily ask for a mansion, but we might ask Him to show us affordable housing.
The Lord God wants us to seek Himself, to seek a saving relationship with the creator of everything.

Knock-The Lord invites us to knock when we need help, He invites us to bother Him anytime. in fact, when we knock on the Lord’s door, He is never bothered by this.

We are all invited by the Lord God to ask, to seek, to knock. And we are reminded in verse 12, So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.
Impossible you say, there is no way I can do this.

Well, you are right, by yourself this is impossible. Remember, the Lord God lives within the believer and He will lead, guide, and direct us to the kind of life He desires for us.

Have a tremendous day in the Lord,

Let everything that has breath (this includes you) Praise and thank the Lord.

Be Blessed,

Be a Blessing;

Amen
