“Not a Glowing Report for All Mankind”

God calls then as He sees them. We hear that said, perhaps of a baseball umpire. But umpires can and do make mistakes., the Lord God never makes or has made a mistake. And at times, His Word can be brutal.

Please Read the Following Verses

Psalms 53 For the director of music. According to mahalath. A maskil of David.

1 The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.”They are corrupt, and their ways are vile; there is no one who does good.
2 God looks down from heaven on the sons of mento see if there are any who understand, any who seek God. 3 Everyone has turned away, they have together become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one. 4 Will the evildoers never learn — those who devour my people as men eat bread and who do not call on God? 5 There they were, overwhelmed with dread, where there was nothing to dread. God scattered the bones of those who attacked you; you put them to shame, for God despised them. 6 Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion! When God restores the fortunes of his people, let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad!

See what I mean? Now I have been told that we lose a bit in the translation of verse one. It is terrible to say there is no God, but the original Hebrew meant that a fool says, No, God.
In other words, the fool is not going to do what the Lord wants. This is not good and God’s word bears this out.
It seems most babies learn to shake their heads no before they shake them yes. Let us not be like babies. May we be much more mature on our relationship with the Lord and learn to say yes first.
You will soon find out that saying yes to the Lord God is better.

Be Blessed, Be a Blessing
