Please read the following verses.
42 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
43 Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles.
44 All the believers were together and had everything in common.
45 Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need.
46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts,
47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
As we read about the Jewish believers, it is an interesting read. They may have thought the Lord Jesus was going to return very soon.
So they sold out, they sold all of their possessions and had a communal lifestyle.
They may have even stopped working.
Later, Pail gathers offerings from the Churches to take to Jerusalem.
The Lord God does not always want us to give all of our money to Him. He does, however, want to have first place in our lives.
In addition, if He should ask us for that money, we should willingly give.
Who or what has first place in your heart?
If it is not Christ, get your priorities in order while you still may.
Be ready to follow Him as He leads with His Holy Spirit.
