“A Tribute to the Almighty”

As I am now reading from Job, I find many great truths about the Lord God Almighty. As Job and his “friends” go back and forth in conversation, one finds some great truths.

Please read the following verses.
Job 8:8-19

8 “Ask the former generations and find out what their fathers learned, 9 for we were born only yesterday and know nothing, and our days on earth are but a shadow. 10 Will, they not instruct you and tell you? Will they not bring forth words from their understanding?
11 Can papyrus grow tall where there is no marsh? Can reeds thrive without water? 12 While still growing and uncut, they wither more quickly than grass.
13 Such is the destiny of all who forget God; so perishes the hope of the godless. 14 What he trusts in is fragile; what he relies on is a spider’s web. 15 He leans on his web, but it gives way; he clings to it, but it does not hold.
16 He is like a well-watered plant in the sunshine, spreading its shoots over the garden; 17 it entwines its roots around a pile of rocks and looks for a place among the stones. 18 But when it is torn from its spot, that place disowns it and says, ‘I never saw you.’ 19 Surely its life withers away, and from the soil other plants grow.
As I read this, it reminds me of some of the later passages in Job when the Lord questions him.
Job is speechless, he has no answers for the Lord God.
As we read the above verses, we can see Job knows some about the Lord, but not all.
This is true for us too. As we read the Holy Word of the Lord, we have a sense of knowledge of the Lord. However, we too only know a little bit.

As I have been typing this, a song sung by Philips, Craig, and Dean comes to mind.

“Revelation Song”

Worthy is the Lamb who was slain holy, holy is Thee

Sing a new song to Him who sits on Heaven’s mercy seat
Worthy is the Lamb who was slain Holy, holy is He

Sing a new song to Him who sits on Heaven’s mercy seat
Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty Who was and is and is to come With all creation, I sing praise to the King of kings

You are my everything and I will adore You

Clothed in rainbows of living color Flashes of lighting rolls of thunder Blessing and honor strength and glory and power be

To You the only one who’s King

Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty Who was and is and is to come With all creation, I sing praise to the King of kings

You are my everything and I will adore You

Filled with wonder awestruck wonder At the mention of Your name

Jesus Your name is power, breath and living water Such a marvelous mystery Oh, You’re worthy, mystery You are worthy

Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty Who was and is and is to come With all creation, I sing praise to the King of kings

You are my everything and I will adore You

Be Blest, Be a Blessing
