“The Beginning of the Tribulation”
In Mark 13, Jesus talks some about the coming tribulation. The disciples want to know when these things will happen.
Some of the things Jesus talks about have already happened. Some I feel are very close to happening.
You are invited to read the following verses.
14 “When you see ‘the abomination that causes desolation’ standing where it does not belong — let the reader understand — then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.
15 Let no one on the roof of his house go down or enter the house to take anything out.
16 Let no one in the field go back to get his cloak.
17 How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers!
18 Pray that this will not take place in winter, 19 because those will be days of distress unequaled from the beginning, when God created the world, until now — and never to be equaled again.
20 If the Lord had not cut short those days, no one would survive. But for the sake of the elect, whom he has chosen, he has shortened them.
As I understand scripture, the people Jesus talks about starting in verse 15 become the remnant the Lord God will keep safe for the 2nd coming of their Messiah, Jesus Christ.
When they see Christ return from the heavens, straddling the Mount of Olives which has been split by an earthquake, with one foot on each part, they will realize that Jesus is the Christ, their Messiah, and King.
Please remember, all that Jesus says will happen and it is coming closer each day.
However, God’s Word promises believers that we don’t need to be on this earth when the tribulation explodes upon the screen.
We can already be in heaven.
Heaven is a place I long for more each day.
I really believe heaven is my home, not this earth. I am ready to go there as soon as the Lord desires.
Until then, I continue the work He has given me to do.
I pray that you do and are doing this also.
