What would you have done if you were with Jesus when He was arrested. Would you have been strong and resited, or would you have run,
You are invited to read the following verses.
Jesus Predicts Peter’s Denial
27 Then Jesus said to them, “All of you will be made to stumble because of Me this night, for it is written:
‘I will strike the Shepherd,
And the sheep will be scattered.’
28 “But after I have been raised, I will go before you to Galilee.”
29 Peter said to Him, “Even if all are made to stumble, yet I will not be.”
30 Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you that today, even this night, before the rooster crows twice, you will deny Me three times.”
31 But he spoke more vehemently, “If I have to die with You, I will not deny You!”
And they all said likewise. NKJV
I ask the question again, what would you have done when Jesus was arrested.
Peter thought he knew what he would do. He even said if all the rest ran, he would stay with Jesus even if it cost him his life.
Peter was wrong. And you and I know that we don’t know what we will do when we get into the midst of a tough situation.
It is good to think about what we might do in a given situation. However, don’t become boastful like Peter. He boasted about what he would do
In this world we live in, talk is still cheap.
