“Witnessing”

I this morning’s scripture reading, I read about Jesus meeting the woman at the well.
Please read the following verses.

John 4:27-30
27 Just then his disciples returned and were surprised to find him talking with a woman. But no one asked, “What do you want?” or “Why are you talking with her?”
28 Then, leaving her water jar, the woman went back to the town and said to the people,
29 “Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Christ?”
30 They came out of the town and made their way toward him.

When one reads about the woman at the well, we may not think of her being a witness for Christ.
However, during this brief encounter, this woman is changed. She has been introduced to the Messiah, Lord God, and coming king.

She simply cannot keep this good news to herself and she goes into the nearby town and tells any who will listen, to come to and see Jesus.
Now in our salvation experience, we too come to the Lord God through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.
May we too, excitedly say come and see.
Come to Jesus Christ and see what he will make of us.

The finished work of the cross of Jesus Christ is great news.
Oh, that we might be sharing it also.
