“Don’t Settle for Milk “

This thought might sound silly. As babies, we all start out drinking milk (in various forms) before we eat meat. Then babies go-to baby food and later they start eating the soft foods from the table and eventually they can eat almost anything.
Now we would become concerned if we had a baby who would never eat solid foods like meat.

Please read the following verses. Hebrews 5:11-14

11 We have much to say about this, but it is hard to explain because you are slow to learn. 12, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God’s word all over again. You need milk, not solid food! 13 Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. 14 But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.
Can we understand, we should be just as concerned about baby Christians if they never move on to the deeper truths of scripture.
I know scripture says 2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, 17 so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Some People use this as a proof verse to always be in the Old Testament and the gospels. I have nothing against those readings, it is part of all scripture.
However, don’t use the 2 Timothy passage to justify not moving into the deeper truths that are in the bible for true believers. For instance, we learn so much from Paul’s letters which are many times ignored by many preachers.

Even if I didn’t have my many years in the meat business, I would encourage all believers everywhere to dig into the more difficult sections (the meat) of the New Testament, scriptures that were given to show believers how to worship the Lord God with our body, soul and spirit.

Have a tremendous day in the Lord,

Let everything that has breath (this includes you) Praise and thank the Lord.

Be Blessed, Be a Blessing;

Amen
