“Why Do Some Believers Die Young?”
Well, I must admit, this is a loaded question.
First, what is young?
Each day as I grow older, young becomes older.
Sometimes we know a believer is getting close to death.
Other times, a believer’s death stuns us.
They seemed so alive and vibrant, and then they are gone.
I came across two verses that spoke to me differently than they have in the past.
In fact, I did not remember them being in my Bible.
Of course, they were but today they spoke to me in a new way.
Please read them.
1 The righteous perish,
and no one ponders it in his heart;
devout men are taken away,
and no one understands
that the righteous are taken away
to be spared from evil.
2 Those who walk uprightly
enter into peace;
they find rest as they lie in death.
Friend, you and I may love the Lord but unless He shows us, we will not understand His bigger plan.
An all knowing, all-powerful everywhere present Lord God, has insights that we will not understand.
Do you understand what those two verses say?
The Lord God knows what our future holds.
Perhaps He calls us home to spare us from evil.
He may call us home to experience His peace and His rest.
I believe most people do not really believe life in heaven can be better than life on this earth.
I for sure believe heavenly living will be far above anything we experience here on this earth.
When we lose a believing loved one, try to remember, the Lord God got this.
There are reasons we might never understand for the Lord God doing what He does.
Simply understand, there is a purpose in life for the good and what we perceive as bad.
As the hymn says, “trust and obey, for there’s no other way, to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.”
