“Thank the Holy Spirit for Your Spiritual Giftedness”
Well, that is a long thought, but one we need to remember. How many times have you complained about not being able to do something others can do?
For me, I wish I could fix things and figure out mechanical issues and such. I do not have that ability. And that is embarrassing.
Someone will say well that is an easy fix and proceed to tell me how to fix whatever it is that needs fixing. Well, they might as well be talking a foreign language.
As we are remodeling the house, our contractor asks me questions, explaining my options. I send him to Nancy, knowing she can see in her head what he is talking about it. I can’t see or imagine what something will look like. I must wait until I see the finished product.
Please read the following verses. 1 Corinthians 12:4-11
4 There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. 6 There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all men. 7 Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. 8 To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, 10 to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. 11 All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he gives them to each one, just as he determines.
As you read these verses, we see that the Holy Spirit is in charge of Spiritual gift distribution. While I seriously lack giftedness in some areas in my life, the Spirit has given me gifts I can use for Him.
So instead of whining for what we don’t have, believers joyfully accept the gifts, we do have, always remembering to thank the Holy Spirit for them.
Have a tremendous day in the Lord.
Be Blessed, Be a Blessing;
