“When We Are Weak, He Is Strong “
Jesus Christ doesn’t always call who we might think are the most qualified people. But He always qualifies the called.
Please read the following scripture verses and look for the truth of this thought. 2 Corinthians 12:5-10
5 I will boast about a man like that, but I will not boast about myself, except about my weaknesses. 6 Even if I should choose to boast, I would not be a fool, because I would be speaking the truth. But I refrain, so no one will think more of me than is warranted by what I do or say.7 To keep me from becoming conceited because of these surpassingly great revelations, there was given me a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. 8 Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. 9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
Some of you have experienced exactly what is being talked about in these verses. We say yes to Jesus’ blood for the removal of our sins and the gift of salvation.
Then the Lord calls us to do work for Him. Many times He takes us far out of our comfort zones.
Now we can try and try and try and not get anywhere or we can tell the Lord we need His help. And He will help us. He will watch over and guide us when we are weak.
When we can’t do the job the Lord has called us to do, He helps us do what He asks us so He gets the credit, honor, and glory. When we are weak, He is strong.
Always remember, if the Lord leads us to His work, He will get us through His work. Allow Him to lead, guide, and direct us in His paths.
Have a tremendous day in the Lord,
Let everything that has breath (this includes you) Praise and thank the Lord.
Be Blessed, Be a Blessing;
