Worship service begins at 9:00 AM in the sanctuary.  You will find the order of service in the bulletin mentioned above.  We wish to highlight a few things that occur during our worship services.

Introductions

We begin our service by greeting one another.  Soon after, introductions are given.  This is when the worship leader will ask if there are any guests who wish to introduce themselves.  It isn’t mandatory for you to introduce yourself and you will not be singled out.

Attendance Book

The worship leader will ask everyone to sign the attendance (black) book at the end of the pews.  Attendance is taken for statistical purposes and not to check how often people attend church.

We ask you to please sign the book and include your address.  The pastor likes to send thank you notes to those who visit our church.

Prelude

The prelude is when two children from the 2nd to the 6th grade bring the light of Christ into the sanctuary and light the candles in front of the sanctuary.

Music

We have a blend of traditional hymns and praise songs, which appeal to the old and young alike.  Two Sundays a month, the worship team will lead us with Christian songs from YouTube.

We sing traditional hymns the first, third and fifth Sundays.  You will hear beautiful music as our organist and pianist play.

You are welcome to join us as we sing.  The words to the songs are projected on a screen or if you prefer, you may use the hymnals when we sing the traditional hymns.

Our Time of Offering

The offering received at each worship service is based on 1 Corinthians 16:2 – “On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with his income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will have to be made.” Some use the tithe (10% of what one earns) as their guide for giving. The money collected allows us to maintain our building, our ministry, our staff, and fund outreach ministries.

Giving an offering is a voluntary act.  You may choose to give if you wish.

Morning Prayer Time

We lift up our prayers of joys and concerns to God.  You will hear mentioned those who request prayer for themselves or a loved one.  Our joys consist of answered prayers, announcing special  life events (weddings and births) and more.

Sermon

The pastor preaches a message based on the Word of God. Our pastor most always preaches using expository preaching. You are welcome to listen to recent sermons by clicking here.
